Please join us at a national PRAY IN action hosted by Soulforce at the 219th General Assembly for the Presbyterian Church (PC (USA) in Minneapolis on July 7-10, 2010 at The Plaza (Outdoor Park at the Minneapolis Convention Center)

We need your support to ensure that our Soulforce message about human dignity and worth is carried to the Convention floor and understood by the 8000 people who will be in attendance where these marriages are legal without fear of reprisals through the church courts.

2010 Update

"On July 8, 2010, the 219th General Assembly proposed a change to the Presbyterian Church (USA) Constitution that would remove barriers to the ordination of LGBT persons by a vote of 373-323-4. In May, 2011 a majority of the 173 presbyteries ratified the proposal , removing the celibacy requiredment that kept many gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people from becoming ministers.
