God is so concerned about moral purity in the life of the Christian that a wide variety of words are selected by the inspired authors of Scripture to communicate the dangers and sinfulness of every aspect of moral impurity: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, immorality, impurity, sensuality, homosexuality, covetousness, sexual promiscuity, lust, vile affections, degrading passions, etc.
