* MONDAY, APRIL 7, 7pm – SOULFORCE NONVIOLENCE TRAINING: MOUNT AUBURN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 103 William Howard Taft, in Cincinnati
This training is required for all first time participants who wish to vigil with Soulforce outside the trial of Steve Van Kuiken . All persons wishing to participate in any Soulforce direct action are required to take this non-violence training at least one time. Additional ongoing nonviolence training materials are available on the web.
We hope to have a big showing of the people in the Cincinnati area who wish to participate!!! Veterans and people from outside the Cincinnati area are welcome to join us as well!
* TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1pm – SOULFORCE GATHERING FOR SPIRITUAL RENEWAL AND PREPARATION: MOUNT AUBURN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 103 William Howard Taft, in Cincinnati
This crucial time will be a time of fellowship, spiritual renewal, spiritual preparation and gathering into squads to prepare for the vigils at the trial
* TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 4pm PRESS CONFERENCE AND VIGIL BEGIN: Outside of Immanuel Presbyterian Church
* TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 6pm – THE "PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ON TRIAL": Immanuel Presbyterian Church at 3445 Clifton Avenue
The location of the trial has not been established yet. Although the PCUSA is putting Steve Van Kuiken on trial, it is the PC(USA) that will be on trial for committing spiritual violence against God’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender children. We are holding them accountable and shedding light on this darkness.
It is expected that questioning and statements will be completed by 9pm that night.
* WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9 during the morning.
There will be several hours during the morning which so far are "undedicated", but some plans are being made to have discussions about: starting a local Cincinnati Soulforce group, the goings-on in the PC(USA), and/or upcoming Soulforce national actions, or maybe all three ๐
* WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 3pm – THE DECISION
It is expected that the Permanent Judicial Commission of the Cincinnati Presbytery will reconvene at 3pm, to discuss and render their decision.
However, as with any church proceeding, what is expected and what actually occurs can be two entirely different things.
